Krav Maga is the official system of self defense employed by the Israeli Defens Forces, Israeli Anti-terrorist Units, and various branches of the Israeli Security Forces. It is also the preferred system for U.S. Military and Law Enforcement personnel. Krav Maga is particularly relevant to modern-day law enforcement because most agencies cannot afford the luxury of prolonged training courses for their personnel. Krav Maga is quick, effective and both easily learned and retained. Krav Maga emerged in an environment where extreme violence, mostly of a polictical nature, was common. It has had ample opportunity to be tested and improved under real life conditions. No defensive tactics system in teh world is more street and battle tested than Krav Maga! Krav Maga for Law Enforcement: The Krav Maga Force Training Division has taken important steps to refine Krav Maga for the needs of American Law Enforcement. Keenly aware of use-of-force issues facing law enforcement, KMFTD gathered top authorities in teh use-of-force field, including: defuty district attorneys, police liability defense lawyers, police administrators, top defensive tactics instructors. In particular, the U.S. Chief Instructor, Darren Levine, is a Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County. He lectures frequently on use-of-force issues. This team established a defensive tactics system that protects law enforcement officers from harm and law enforcement agencies from liability. |
